Valeria Robinson-Baker R.Ph., C.Ph. is an accomplished Pharmacy innovator with a strong track record in leadership and pharmaceutical expertise. With experience in the oversight the Non-Sterile and Sterile Compounding Section and Hazardous Drugs Program at Olympia Compounding Pharmacy, an FDA Outsourcing Facility in Orlando, Florida, Valeria’s career spans over 39 years in the industry.

 

With a passion for innovation and patient care, Valeria was instrumental in establishing the Sterile Compounding side of Olympia Compounding in 2013, transforming it into an FDA Outsourcing Facility. Her leadership is evident in her dual role as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist Supervisor and Acting Quality Manager. Her commitment to excellence is further demonstrated through her creation and implementation of c-GMP standard operating procedures (SOP) for the unit.

 

Valeria’s accomplishments are a testament to her dedication to elevating pharmacy practices. Holding licensure as a Consultant Pharmacist and certifications in Pharmacy Regulatory Specialist, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), FEMA Emergency Preparedness, Women’s Health Issues, and Pharmacy-Based Immunizations, she’s a trusted authority in her field. Licensed in both Florida and Oregon, she is ASHP Certified in Sterile Compounding and on her way to achieving BPS Certification in Sterile Compounding.

 

Throughout her career, Valeria has embraced leadership roles, making history as the first African American Director of Pharmacy at a hospital system in Central Florida. She’s held key roles in hospitals such as Sand Lake Hospital (now Dr. Phillips Hospital) and Orlando Regional Medical Center. Her achievements extend beyond her profession, contributing to organizations like The Orlando Museum of Art, Boys and Girls Club, and more.

 

Valeria’s family is a source of pride and inspiration. Married to Dr. Robert Baker, a gastroenterologist, and owner of Central Florida Gastroenterology Specialists, her daughter Dr. Brittney Baker follows in her footsteps as BPS certified sterile compounding pharmacist with licenses in 11 states , while her second daughter, Camille Victoria Baker, has excelled in software engineering, earning recognition in INC Magazine’s “30 Under 30: America’s Inspiring Young Entrepreneurs”.

 

An advocate for positive change, Valeria’s future goals include business ventures in land development in Tallahassee, Florida. Her accolades and accomplishments, including the Distinguished Service Award from the Florida Pharmacy Association and her role as an Associate Clinical Professor with the University of Florida, speak to her impact on the pharmacy industry and the community at large.
